Café Cabaret
The Café Cabaret recap this year

The Cabaret this year for both Waukee schools was Cafe themed, and many amazing singers stepped up to sing. A Cabaret is an event where people grades 9-12 of any orientation can show off their talent for singing. Senior Will Bower, the Thespian President of Waukee High school, when asked about planning said “It was fun to be part of planning the event. Northwest was kind enough to host and provide the Black Box Theatre, tables, seating, mics, and drinks. We provided food (generously donated by Hyvee), posters, a piano light, and various other components. It was a smooth process to plan out since we ran into no difficulties. I’m very excited to get started on planning our next event. When asked if he would sing, he said “Probably not, I’m not much of a singer, to begin with, and doing it in front of all those people would’ve made it all the more terrifying” said Will. Will expanded and exclaimed, “I’m consistently amazed by the vocal talent that we have here at WHS and how brave they are to go up and sing. It looks so scary”. Overall, the Caberet for this year was a massive success, and we cannot wait to do it next year.
