Fantasy Football Breakouts
Unknown players that are predicated to win leagues

Many players have good fantasy football seasons, but some have surprise years where no one expects them to play at an elite level. Last season Cooper Kupp (wide receiver) for the Los Angles Rams had a record-setting year with 439.5 PPR points (PPR= Points Per Reception) and a record-setting 14 weeks with 30+ point fantasy performances. This list I created has a few players who could break out like Kupp did last season.
Breece Hall Runningback, New York Jets
The New York Jets drafted Breece Hall with the 36th pick in this year’s NFL draft, and they are planning to utilize the rookie’s rushing and pass-catching skills heavily. Breece Hall had a record-breaking college carrier at Iowa State University, setting the record for most consecutive games with a rushing touchdown. The Jets’ offense last season relied on the work of runningback Michael Carter, who will take the backseat to Breece Hall this season. Breece Hall should get the majority of carries and catches due to his balanced skill set.
Micheal Pittman Jr- Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts
Standing at 6’4 and weighing 223 lbs, Pittman is a nightmare for defenses to face. Pittman is the number one reiving option for the Colts and will give him a solid chance to finish as a top 15 fantasy football wide receiver this season. With the Colts bringing in veteran Matt Ryan, Pittman should see even more target opportunities than last season when he put up 1082 yards on 88 receptions. Pittman will also benefit from playing with runningback Jonathan Taylor who teams will have to set their game plan around due to his last season where he was the number one rated running back in the NFL. This should result in more big play opportunities for Pittman off of play action.
Javonte Williams- Runningback, Denver Broncos
Williams being in a balanced offensive attack of a mix of rushing and passing plays will result in him getting many Opportunities for yards in pass-catching and rushing plays. With Denver bringing in veteran Russell Wilson at quarterback, Williams will emerge as a pass-catching option for Wilson on check downs and give Williams great PPR production opportunities. Last season Williams put up 903 rushing yards on 203 carries while also showing off his receiving ability with 316 yards on 43 receptions.
When questioned about how he believes Michael Pittman Jr’s season will go Lucky Pearce said, “I think Michael Pittman Jrs season could be very good because the colts have Matt Ryan who is a pretty good QB who can get him the ball”. Additionally, Pearce was put into question about his prediction for BPOTY and quoted “My prediction for break-out player of the year this season in fantasy is Breece Hall because he is a great running back out of Iowa state and even if he isn’t putting up huge amounts of points, you have to remember he is on the jets and is doing the best with the o-line he has”.
When Munil Ana was questioned about who he believes will lead fantasy football this year in PPR points he said “Jaylen Waddle because he can be used as a wide receiver or running back and his connection with his quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is pretty strong already after his rookie season”.
When Nolan Klemesrud was asked the question who he thought would be the breakout player of the year in Fantasy this season he replied“ I believe Michael Thomas will be returning as a breakout player similar to 2019. After watching the week 1 game in which he played his first game since his injury back in 2020, where he went and scored two touchdowns, also in the second game, he scored another one”. Om top of that Klemesrud was asked who his leading PPR scorer for the season would be in which he responded, “ I see Christian McCaffery leading unless an injury or something else major happens”.
