Microsoft flight simulator is one of the most geologically accurate games there is. When it comes to graphics, it is top-notch. That is why this game is meant for literally anyone.
When you first open the game you will be greeted by a reasonably user-friendly menu with five options: Discovery flights, flight training, activities, marketplace, and the world map. Most people prefer to start on the world map. It’s technically free to play since you get on a plane and go, which is what most people want to do.
Once you choose the world map option it opens to Earth, the world itself is right in front of you. When you want to decide your location of departure you simply click on any of the blue dots on the map which are runways. There are plenty of options when it comes to when and where you are going to take off since there are thousands of accurate airports and runways across the entire globe.
After you select your departure runway you get to choose one of 34 aircraft to take off in, the list ranges from propeller planes to turbine planes to literal supersonic jets, the choice is yours. Each plane is rated for a certain distance and speed, if you want to go across the world try taking a turbine plane (passenger plane) it will be pretty slow but it will get the job done. If you want to go fast try taking a supersonic jet, with its insane speed you can travel the world in the blink of an eye. If you prefer to enjoy the scenery try taking a propellor plane, one of the slowest planes in the game the propellor plane will let you and your friends enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Because Microsoft wanted to blow this game out of the water, they made the map of the entire Earth. It is so accurate that our school, the entire downtown Des Moines, and the Statue of Liberty are all accurately where they need to be and they are 3D! The scenery in this game is some of the most accurate Microsoft has ever put out in a game. The entire world is in this absolutely unbelievable game.
Overall, Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the most realistic games when it comes to aircraft physics and graphics, 3D modeling of everything, multiplayer connectivity, and genuinely flying planes. After playing this game you will feel like a true pilot.
