Candy Takes the Storefront

Fall is one of the best seasons in most people’s opinion, and what’s a better way to enjoy fall than candy. Candy has been around for a long time, longer than anyone can remember, so it is very likely that many people have a favorite candy. What is your favorite candy, gummy bears, Reese’s pieces, Milky Way, or Candy Corn? 

Let’s start with candy corn. Everybody knows what candy corn looks, and tastes like. Most people think candy corn is overrated but others love it. Candy corn is a pretty hot topic when it comes to if it is or isn’t underrated. Junior Brice Stone was asked if he likes candy corn, and why or why not. He responded with, “Heck yeah, it’s just so good. I mean it’s kinda bland, that could be why people don’t like it. It’s also not even really corn. I understand though, they are allowed to have their own opinions.” 

Next is the Milky Way. The Milky Way was named after a famous drink from the 1920s according to multiple sources. The Milky Way is by far one of the best tasty treats. An anonymous sophomore said “I really love Milky Ways, they are one of the best if not the number one candy. Most of my friends used to think that Milky Ways had peanuts in them but nope, it’s pure chocolate and sugar. The people who haven’t had a Milky Way, what are you doing with your life?”

An all-time classic, then there are Gummy bears. Gummy Bears are the tiny lovable gummies that we all remember from our childhood. If you don’t like Gummy candy, you’re lying. Junior Sam Grave stated “I prefer gummy candies because they are easier to bite into than hard candies. I don’t know why people don’t like gummy candy, just try it before you say you don’t like it.”

And finally, Reeses Pieces, the people that don’t like these obviously have peanut allergies. Reeses Pieces have year-round different Halloween specials and flavors boosting them to the top of the best candies list. Sophomore Aiden Wagnon claimed, “I like Reeses Pieces because they are sweet, delicious, and tasty, people who don’t like these are just weird.”

In conclusion, Reeses Pieces, Gummy Bears, Candy Corn, and the Milky Way are all good ways to enjoy the cool weather, beautiful sunsets, and long drives during the Fall
