Winter break is around the corner and students are getting in the Christmas spirit, If you are wondering what movies to binge on Christmas or even over break Here are some reviews of students’ favorite Christmas movies or their reviews and opinions on different movies to hopefully give you an idea of what movies to watch this Christmas.
Chuchu ladu expresses her favorite Christmas movie is The Mistle-Tones. The mistle tones is about a girl named holly who is set to audition for a Christmas group founded by her late mother, holly does not get the role and ends up going to the group leader’s best friend Marci so holly decides to make her musical group called the mistle tone. Holly challenges her rivals to sing off and begins to discover the true meaning of Christmas while making new friends.
Sophomore Chuchu Ladu writes “the Mistle tones is my favorite Christmas movie because it has a very fun plot and I loved watching it growing up. I would recommend this movie because it’s good and not generic like a hallmark movie”.
Junior Saraya Buraks- Thomson expresses how Home alone is her favorite Christmas movie. Home Alone is about an 8-year-old boy Kevin McAlister who misbehaves the night before their family trip to Paris in a result Kevin’s parents make him sleep in the attic, and Kevin says he wishes he didn’t have a family. The next morning Kevin’s parents head to the airport forgetting they left Kevin home alone in the attic, when Kevin wakes up he realizes he is alone and he thinks his wish to have no family has been fulfilled, but his excitement is ruined when he realizes two con men named joe Pesci and daniel stern plan to rob the McCallister house and he decides he needs to protect his home.
Junior Saraya Buraks- Thomson writes “Home Alone is my favorite Christmas movie because it’s funny and I can’t seem to get bored of it. Something I love about this movie is it has Macaulay Culkin and the plot is interesting and it’s very humorous.”
Sophomore Baleska Diaz says “I think the movie Home Alone is mediocre. It’s very entertaining to watch but I think it’s a cliche overall it’s a very funny movie and it has a lot of action that keeps you engaged and entertained”. another student junior Saraya Buraks- Thomson said “Home Alone is my favorite Christmas movie because it’s funny and I can’t seem to get bored of it, something I love about this movie is it has Macaulay Culkin and the plot is interesting and it’s very humorous.
