Waukees Thoughts On The Fall Season
Recently the weather has had a huge change. Temperatures have been dropping quickly and the leaves have had a change of color and are beginning to fall.
A few students at Waukee High School have been asked a few questions regarding the new season. “I really miss summer, I love the heat and the vibes summer gives off, but I’m also excited to get into the fall season and try the new fall menus.” Junior Corbin Davis stated when asked if he’s excited for the new season approaching. Many students and staff miss the summer weather a lot but are ready for some cooler weather.” Junior Taffy Sindlinger states, “I miss the warm weather, I’m not a fan of the cold and now I have to wear my huge coat.” Although summer will be missed, some students are excited to go into fall. Junior Ella Makohoniuk said, “I’m not the biggest fan of the cold, but I do like how Thanksgiving break is coming up. Thanksgiving is a time for my whole family to get together and celebrate as one so it’s a really nice time.”
How Students Enjoy Fall
Many exciting things are going to be happening in the next few months. For example, Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, fall and winter menus are hitting everyone’s favorite fast food places and restaurants, and most exciting of them all is Thanksgiving and winter break for students and staff. “Lately I’ve been trying the new fall and winter drinks at Starbucks. I love it when the time finally comes for the new menus.” Junior Taffy Sindlinger states. The seasonal menus are always really popular among high school students, usually in the mornings you can see students and staff with a festive cup in their hands.
“I’m really excited for Thanksgiving break to come. It gives me a little break from school and I’m able to focus on things outside of school.” Junior Corbin Davis said. In this term, we have two breaks, one of them being Thanksgiving break. This is going to be the first break of the year so far and students and staff are really excited with it quickly approaching in just about two weeks.
