The Coffin Of Andy And Ley Ley Review

I personally recommend this game. It’s gotta be one of my top 5 roleplaying adventure games! 

     You (Ashley) and your brother Andrew are locked in your apartment, isolated during quarantine for three months after your parents left you. Throughout the quarantine, you have to survive somehow. How come A, B, and O blood type people get food but you and your brother have AB type blood, doesn’t? That doesn’t seem fair you might ask, and it isn’t. 

You and your brother are asleep, while you two are asleep you get a remembrance of when you and Andy were around the age of 12 and 14 years old. Andrew refuses to do what you tell him to do. You then start to wake up and play a game “to find nutrients to not die.” You look around and can’t seem to find any food in your apartment. But oh? You find a can of tomatoes in the trash bags! Go show your brother.

Episode 1: You’re stuck in quarantine for three months in your apartment with your brother. One day, you’ll hear your next door neighbor who is a cultist attempting to summon a demon. He succeeds in the summoning and the demon steals his soul. While he’s on the ground soulless, Andrew has brought up the idea of butchering him and leading to cannibalism. Not long after that they escape the apartment and go somewhere to hide and not get noticed they escaped. 

When Ashley and Andrew were kids they were ‘playing’ hide and seek with a girl named Nina. A friend of Ashley’s and a girl that liked Andrew. Ashley being herself, she didn’t like any girl around her brother because he is “hers” as she says. When it was Ashley and Nina’s time to hide, Ashley tells her to get in a crate for a hiding spot. Once Nina got in the crate Ashley jumped onto it leaving Nina stuck in there and Ashley was manipulating Andrew to put a stick on the lock to lock Nina in the crate. Ashley named that ‘adventure’ “A B**** in the box.” The next day they went to check if she was alive, Andrew opened the crate with disgust and saw Nina dead.

Episode 2: You were messing around meanwhile over hearing your brother watch the news on the apartment you both use to live in, burn down. That would be a good thing for both of you two because that would erase evidence of the crimes you committed. Andrew and you both sneak to your parents house while they aren’t home to get some of their money. Mrs. Graves (you and Andrew’s mother) gets home earlier than they anticipated. When she saw the both of you, she was surprised thinking that you and Andrew were both dead from the burn down of the apartment. She lets you stay at their house for the night. Ashley then explains to Andrew that they should sacrifice and kill their parents, going in disguise as them. 

When Andrew is sleeping, he has a flashback, a dream of how manipulative and possessive Ashley’s behavior was towards him as you both were children. Both you and your brother take your parents hostage and summon a demon to take their souls. While you and Andrew butcher your parents, he asks in curiosity what you guys will do with the body’s remains. Ashley then sees a route in her sleep with the trinket that makes her experience Andrew wanting to kill her.  

I then asked two of my friends, Luka Raus and Trinity Bierman, and watched a popular Youtuber, Manlybadasshero. Let’s see what they thought about the game. Sophomore Trinity Bierman has played the game since she found out our favorite youtuber, EddieVR, played it and it caught her attention. She said that she loved how the game looked and the story in general. When I asked her who her favorite character was I would’ve thought it would be the main character you play as Ashley, but I was wrong. Trinity said, “I’m gonna have to say Andrew because he’s like that shy timid side of me that doesn’t like jumping ahead first into things he has never done before or experienced.” 

Sophomore Luka Raus found out about the game from clips on TikTok and got interested. Ashley is his favorite; the reason why is because he said she is random and you’re always left guessing what insult she would say to Andy next. He then quoted, “Who doesn’t love a girl with a little bit of issues?” and I agree with that, because who doesn’t! And there’s background on why she acts the way she acts.

The famous gaming youtuber, Manlybadasshero, said in his video that it’s a fairly edgy story and gives him a Midwestern type of anime vibe to it. He was describing more about the game and how Ashley was basically a psychotic manipulator to her brother. “Outside of the wardens being bad people, you’re kind of playing the bad guy as well,” he said. It got me thinking that maybe, just maybe he is onto something.

There are only two episodes so far into the game of four and the game takes around three hours to complete so far. For more fun experiences, try giving the characters emotions and voices for more fun experiences. From what I’ve heard and watched, the game is very interesting. I can not wait to play the game and I also hope those of you who read this get intrigued to play as well.
