How Club Sports are Beneficial to School Sports

Many student-athletes are also balancing club sports. Club sports play a beneficial role in those who do school activities. However, it may be hard to balance both club and school sports, as they both go hand in hand with one another. Club sports show how much more improvement you can make, which helps a lot for school seasons as well.
Therefore, baseball is a great example of being a sport that is beneficial with a club and school season. Senior Carter Johnson explained how club baseball has helped him become a better player for school ball over the years. “Club baseball has helped me tremendously in my development as a baseball player. It has helped me at all parts of the game between hitting, fielding, or even knowledge in general.” Carter revealed how much you can gain and learn from doing club sports to help you become a better player for the future with school sports. Many people join club teams for the help of more improvement in their game and skills. It can be a great outcome for yourself and the sport itself. Carter also shared how club and school ball are both very effective with their strengths and weaknesses. “Club baseball is effective because it is such a great way to get recruited and get exposure from colleges.” While he also explained, “Club baseball has made me such a better baseball player overall but in school ball, you can really focus on your biggest weaknesses and strengthen those skills to make my game better overall.” This shows how club and school baseball can both majorly improve yourself as a player and your skills while revealing how club and school sports balance each other out in the best way possible.
Additionally, junior Josie Muelhaupt explained how school and club sports are beneficial to one another. Josie stated how club soccer has effectively improved her game. “Club soccer helps me improve my overall soccer skills because we are constantly playing the best teams in the nation at our age group.” She said club soccer gets her ready and set up for success to play against other teams. Club sports and school sports are just as beneficial for one another as any sport, while they can always change a player for the better. Josie explained how club and school soccer both have their strengths. “Club soccer is more intense and has us improve our overall game, while school soccer gives us time to play with our peers from school and we get to polish the skills we learned in club soccer from different coaches’ perspectives.” This has shown how helpful and changing it is to balance while being in both club and school sports. Josie and Carter both share how soccer and baseball are sports that can get a lot of effective development when doing club and school sports.
Furthermore, senior Lauren Nidey, another soccer player, revealed how club and school sports balance each other and are beneficial. Lauren explains that club soccer is very beneficial to her and her game. “Club soccer was very beneficial for me, and specifically for being a goalkeeper. In high school, we don’t have a goalkeeper coach but through the club, I am able to train for goalkeeping because we have a specific coach for it.” Club sports allow athletes to get different perspectives and skills, while also improving their school sport in its own way. Club and school sports are both good for student-athletes in positive ways. They may be hard to balance out sometimes, but it does not mean they don’t help you achieve more.
