This year’s Superbowl will be more exciting than ever, with Joe Burrow trying to lead the Bengals to their first Superbowl win, and Matthew Staford, recently coming from Detroit, trying to win his first Superbowl. Stafford, along with multiple superstars on the team including Obj and Aaron Donald, is trying to win their second Superbowl for the Rams. The Bengals caught everyone by surprise this year by making it this far into the playoffs, and even being the 4th seed in the AFC. They were the worst team in the Nfl two years ago, but now with the quickest rebuild in Nfl history, they have made it to the Superbowl.
Although the Bengals have proven themselves to be contenders, it will be a tough battle for Burrow to beat the Rams. The Rams have the advantage in almost every way, including defense, offense line, secondary, defensive line, and possibly receiving core. The Bengals might not have any advantage, other than at QB, with Joe Burrow playing extraordinary football. When asked who they think will win the Superbowl, sophomore Orson Harrop said “the game will be close, but I think the Bengals will take it all the way”.
Some people have mixed feelings about the Superbowl, with them wanting one team to win but knowing that they cannot beat the other team. Sophomore Xavier DeMarco said, “I want the Bengals to win but I think the Rams will win because they’re stacked and have home-field advantage.” Like most people, sophomore Cole Tedesco said “I’m torn between both because I want Stafford and Obj to get a ring, but I would really like to see the Bengals win since they had a fantastic season.” Only time will tell who will prevail to win the Superbowl.
