Reviewing the Starbucks Holiday Menu
A fun review of some new and some old holiday menu items at Starbucks for 2024.

Starbucks comes out with its seasonal winter menu every year at the beginning of November. They always bring some of their favorite drinks back each year like the iced sugar cookie latte, iced gingerbread chai, peppermint mocha, and more. But they always come up with new ideas and this year they came out with the cran-merry orange refresher made with lemonade or coconut milk. They also had some new food items this season like the snowman cake pop and turkey sage danish. Trying the seasonal drinks is always a tradition for me, and it is a fun thing to do with your friends.
To begin, my favorite seasonal drink from Starbucks has always been the iced sugar cookie latte and it is this year too. I always look forward to this drink and got it the day it came out this year. The sugar cookie latte is a blonde espresso with cookie flavoring, oat milk, and sprinkles. While I love this drink I also love the winter spirit it puts me in every time I drink it. Since the drink comes out in November it always puts me in a festive mood when I drink it far before Christmas. Now let’s move on to some other opinions of the Starbucks seasonal menu for this year.
First, is sophomore Lucy Lewman’s opinion on the new cranberry refresher. This drink is a sweet orange, tart cranberry, and warm spice refresher that you can have made with either coconut milk or lemonade. “I like the refresher, it is really good with the lemonade but I do think it lacks a bit of flavor… I do think they should bring it back next year because I feel like we never have enough refreshers in the winter and this is a fun-themed refresher for the people who don’t drink coffee.” I agree with Lucy’s opinion when she said there aren’t enough refreshers in the winter and I think creating a holiday one was a great idea.
Now let’s move on to one of the new holiday food items. Sophomore Amelia Daniels reviewed the new snowman cake pop. For some background information, the cake pop is a vanilla cake with white chocolate icing and a snowman face. Amelia said, “I really like the cake pop because I like vanilla and think it was a good festive item… But I don’t think they should bring it back next year because I think they should create a peppermint chocolate cake pop for the season.” I agree with Amelia and think a peppermint chocolate cake pop is a good idea for next season and would be a popular menu item.
Lastly, junior Matthew Palazzo reviewed the Iced Chestnut Praline Latte. This latte has espresso roast, milk, caramelized chestnut flavoring, and spices. Matthew likes this drink and said, “I like how the chestnut praline latte reminds me of Christmas and tastes very good. I think they should bring it back next year because it’s very popular and everyone who gets it thinks it tastes good.” Everyone has different flavors and drinks that they like, but Starbucks has a good variety of options on the holiday menu this year. Whether you want to try coffee, a refresher, or a bakery item, you can do it all at Starbucks this holiday season.
